There is a new rooster on the farm I want you all to meet! He is in charge of sales. What should we name him?

Lets talk dog treats...

I know some of you were interested in buying some dog treats. When I was researching what needed to be on the label I discovered that they do not fall under the cottage food laws like "people food". This is my fault for not researching ahead of time.

Pet food (including treats) fall under commercial feed. This means they are regulated by the Iowa Department of Ag. In order to legally sell dog treats I would have to pay $20 for a license, send in the treats for quality testing, and pay $50 per recipe. This means I would have to pay a minimum of $70 in order to sell dog treats. I will not be doing this since we are not trying to open a dog treat business. 😂

Some told me to ignore it since I would only be selling a couple of bags at a time. I am not willing to do that. So, unfortunately, for everyone who was interested, we will not be selling dog treats. I apologize for not doing my research before saying we would offer them! I figured i would update everyone since I know we did have some interest!

Now...what should I use the bone and paw print molds for? 😅
