Custom Meats of Marathon, Inc. began in 1989 by popular demand. In the mid-to-late '80s, the local meat market in Marathon City closed down.

Left without a place to take their livestock for butchering, Marathon City residents were forced to go elsewhere. At that time Dale Heise started Custom Meats.

Our three most recent awards from the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors are something we're incredibly proud of, adding to a wall that's been growing for more than 20 years.

Since 2001, Custom Meats has earned Grand Champion, Reserve Grand Champion, Champion, Reserve Champion, and Best of Show honors across a wide variety of products.

The awards are appreciated, but what matters most is earning the trust of our customers year after year.
