Our community relies on MAHS to provide award-winning programming. We can't do it without your help.

The Maplewood Area Historical Society (MAHS) exists to educate, share, and preserve the history of Maplewood. Our Farmers Markets, history programming events, and day camps serve more than 15,000 people every year. The majority of our family events are free, removing barriers of cost.

The City of Maplewood provides MAHS with less than 2% of our annual operating budget. We receive no County or State funding.

It's supporters like YOU who help us achieve our goals in discovering and sharing our local history.

We are at a critical junction for funding. If we want to continue to deliver these amazing free and family friendly programs and events tomorrow, we need your help today. It’s your support that allows us to be successful stewards of our history and to deliver these great programs.

Will you support the work of the Maplewood Area Historical Society with a financial gift today?

We're having a great time at the Fall Big Red Barn Folk Arts & Crafters Fair today! Plenty of great lunch and treat options!

We’re always bringing new vendors and experiences to our Folk Arts Fair!

This year, we have a Doodle Booth Artist, Ilhwa Kim with MN Doodle Booth, who will offer a photobooth-like experience - but with custom art drawn right in front of your eyes!

We have baked goods and tasty treats to go around!

Handmade one-of-a-kind art!

Plenty of options for holiday gifts and winter preparation!

We have two great food trucks, Kozak Corner and Mi Raiz!

Don't miss out on the last Folk Arts Fair before winter!

It's almost SHOWTIME! 🎟️ FREE Theater at the Farm TONIGHT, Monday, 9/22 at 7 pm at the Maplewood Area Historical Society! 🎟️

The Fox & Beggar Theater presents its eighth feature-length production, "TIGRE! TIGRE!" (pr: TEE-gray, TEE-gray) a new show about humankind's absurd relationship to technological progress.

Our story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension-- a human.

Combining puppetry, clown theater, and a whirlwind of a live Renaissance orchestra, "TIGRE! TIGRE!" explores humanity's relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won't be able to close?

We are excited to be performing for the first time at Bruentrup Farm, home of the Maplewood Museum! Come catch an unticketed performance atop our spectacular mobile theater, following a short opening act at 7:00pm.

Bring friends and a lawn chair or picnic blanket, and make sure to dress for the weather in case we get an unexpectedly chilly night.
