I had posted an update on Terry's condition but for reasons that elude me it was only available to a few. Soooo...I will try again.

My long silence was due to the roller coaster ride we have been on since October. The day after all the pre surgery appointments Terry was diagnosed with covid. That began the downward plunge. I believe he is finally improving even if slowly. He is home and can finally navigate our 22 stairs...a big accomplishment. Although still on a continuous feeding tube he has put on weight and is showing interest in things. Not strong enough to recover well from the carotid surgery and on 2 blood thinners -one to prevent another stroke and the other for a blood clot found in his left arm-but we are working on it. Speech is
improving but appetite still not there. Hopeful but taking life day by day. The store will open eventually.....a shadow of what we once were.... a reinvented Mansfield General Store. Our strength has been tested but our desire to endure remains.

Quick update. I have no idea when we will be reopening. Terry is having the carotid artery clean out surgery next week so....just taking it day by day. Making progress with inventory hope to be done counting soon then start the costing out. Never ending. Had targeted around Valentines Day to reopen but unsure at this point. Off to the nursing home.

Mansfield General Store will be open Friday Dec 17 and Sat Dec 18 9 am to 3 pm. Not very Christmassy. I just can't get into it. BUT... Karen will be having her Christmas bake sale featuring mini loaves of specialty breads, muffins, assorted cookies, cup cakes and those delectable hand dipped chocolates. Stop in you will be thankful that you did.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We will be closed Black Friday and Saturday. Terry is back in the hospital so I will be there with him. Will post future closings when doctors decide what care is needed.

BAKE SALE Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th from 11 am to 3 pm. All sorts of freshly made goodies to tickle your taste buds and delight the whole family. Thursday Karen will be in our kitchen baking all day. Be sure to stop in to see what she has whipped up for your enjoyment. Remember 11 am to 3 pm Friday and Saturday the 19th and 20th. See ya then!
