🫶A big thanks to Curtis Farms for growing and delivering our pumpkins, straw, and corn shocks. We also are so grateful to be the recipients of a Worth Repeating grant to pay for the supplies!

🗳Stop by participating DDA businesses to vote for your favorite - now through Oct 19th! We will tally up the ballots and present the winner with an award at the River Raisin Distillery's Trunk or Treat on Oct 25!

FOOD DRIVE SEASON IS HERE!

As the weather cools and the holidays approach, many schools, churches, businesses, and community groups start planning food drives, and we are always glad to be on the receiving end. Every donation helps keep our pantry shelves stocked for neighbors in Manchester and the surrounding townships. If your group is thinking about hosting a drive, the list below shows the items we need most. It isn’t a complete list, and all contributions are welcome. We ask that food be unopened, in its original packaging, and within six months of the “sell by” date.

If you have questions or want to arrange a drop-off, please give us a call at 734-428-7722. Thank you for thinking of the CRC!

2026 Annual Manchester Scarecrow Contest

Show off your creative talents and win prizes in the process!! Entry is FREE (due 10/2, 8pm) and open to individuals, businesses, organizations and clubs. Participants must register either by email [email protected] or at the Farmers Market Scarecrow Contest Party event on Sunday, September 27th from 10am-2pm. The party will be a place to find info, brainstorm, and have a c***r and donut snack!

All entries are displayed from October 3rd to November 1st. Display of scarecrows will be in front of participating DDA businesses. A scarecrow location map will be published on Saturday, Oct 3rd.

Vote for your favorite entries to choose the winner. Voting must be done inside participating DDA businesses. One vote per person per day. Voting will begin October 3rd at business opening and end on October 19th at business closing.

Announcement and presentation of the DDA gift basket prize for Manchester’s Favorite Scarecrow will be made at 2pm at the River Raisin Distillery Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 25th.
