Most farms plan to export their produce to maintain their income. Meanwhile, consumers, that's us people, are importing thousands of pounds of food a year. Shipping and distribution leaves only a small amount of profit for the farmer. This is not sustainable. Let's all start supporting local. Buy from our local farmers once a week.
