Distance from a person’s home to the nearest food store (supermarket, supercenter, or large grocery store) is one way to measure the ease of access to a major source of a variety of healthy foods.

Big weekend ahead of us at Village of Magdalena! Attached are some flyers for the weekend. Friday - we will have a Sunset Sound Bath + Reiki + Tarot Readings at Tumbleweeds Diner to kick off the weekend at 7pm. Donation based. Saturday - Frontier Fest Weekend, with most of the action happening at the Rodeo Grounds with vendors set up all around the Ilfeld, Rodeo Grounds, as well as ES.PRESS.O for Trunk Show Caravan. We will have Tin Type Photos all day Saturday at Tumbleweeds. Sunday - is the Magdalena B***o Stampede with New Mexico Pack B***os starting at 9am. Spectators can set up along Main Street or by Rodeo Grounds and tailgate, bring their chairs and umbrellas as they wish. There will be several food vendors such as Evett’s Cafe which will be open 2 days only for the weekend, Happy Rainbow Foods from Corrales will be serving pizza, and more!
