Our limited-time Rosemary Olive Oil Sourdough is made with fresh rosemary grown by our favorite farmers at Early Morning Harvest . On Mondays, we pick up our freshly picked Rosemary from Picket Fence Creamery, thanks to deliveries from That Iowa Girl.

We are all proud to collaborate together as part of Choose Iowa , a network of local producers, growers, and makers who believe in supporting one another and building stronger communities through local food.

🎉 Big milestone update! 🎉

We are excited to share that we officially passed our rough-in inspection for the Slater Bakery!

This is a huge step forward and means we can move on to the fun part—putting up walls, painting, moving in equipment, and bringing our beautiful storefront to life.

Getting to this point has taken an incredible amount of work (and rework). A special shoutout goes to our amazing contractors and to the real MVP of this build—my husband, Mike Harris He has been at the bakery every morning, evening, and weekend coordinating contractors, tackling demolition, solving problems, and doing whatever needed to be done to keep this project moving forward on an aggressive timeline.

We are so grateful, incredibly proud of this milestone, and excited to finally be turning the corner on this bakery. Every step brings us closer to opening our doors and sharing fresh, real sourdough bread with our community.

Home Kneads is growing and we’re getting ready to open the doors to our NEW artisan sourdough bakery in Slater, Iowa.

We’re looking for both a full-time and part-time baker to join our team.

This is more than a baking job -it’s an opportunity to learn the art of sourdough and become a craftsman.

In a world fulled with processed food and shortcuts; we’re committed to doing things the old-fashioned way: long fermentation, simple ingredients, and handcrafted bread made from scratch.
