The 2026 market season has come to an end. Where will I find my favorite vendors selling their produce and goods?

Hey Madison,

Thank you for being the best part of our first season!

To every person who stopped by to chat, purchased produce from a neighborhood farmer, made the market a part of your regular schedule, donated to our programming, or dropped off Food Pantry items, you helped make a positive impact on our community. ❤️

The Rec’s mission is to bring people together and build meaningful, lasting programming that supports the health and well-being of our community. Because of your encouragement, that’s exactly what we were able to do.

Thank you to the Rec department & committee who took the Market on as a program and to the Selectmen who were willing to work with us toward solutions! It wouldn’t have happened without town-wide collaboration.

From the first-time vendors who brought their enthusiasm and excitement to their first market (and, for some, their very first customer sales), to the seasoned farmers and vendors who shared their experience, offered advice, and helped wrangle unruly pop-up tents - you all dedicated your time and talent to our community and gave a first season market a chance. That’s what made this project so unique and so much fun.

You weathered the elements, and the slow days right alongside the packed, sunny ones. You planted, grew, and harvested, picking the freshest of your gardens for the market. You baked bread and dessert at 5am and prepped and planned, days before, creating an ever changing menu of seasonal gourmet varieties. You designed and hand-made, beautifully crafted items and took the time to refine your skill. No matter what the day brought, you rallied, packed your car, put on a smile, and welcomed folks in. Our vendors truly are the most hardworking people around. 👏

The thing I’ve learned most about Madison from hosting weekly summer markets is that when we create an event, our neighbors make it their own. They stoke the fire, pull up a chair, bring a story to share, and somehow make the whole thing better just by showing up. And if we’re lucky, they might even bring homemade marshmallows!

That’s what makes this community so special. So, thank you to our entire community - for showing up, supporting one another, and making this first season something worth celebrating.

We’re looking forward to next season - and we’ll see ya around Town until then!

I will have Oatmeal Cream Pie cookie sandwiches with me tomorrow 3pm-5pm at the Madison Farmers Market located at the Madison Elementary School.

Regular & Gluten Sensitive will be available

📢I am taking these off the menu for the bakery stand, but you will be able to get them at Eldridge’s Pop Shoppe in Tamworth Village starting next weekend.
