Today’s experiment: fresh pressed juice made with beets, rainbow carrots, apples + a few mandarin oranges.

And this color 😍

Not only did we save a pile of perfectly good produce from going to waste, but this little combination packs in some pretty great nutrients too:

* Beets — naturally rich in nitrates that support healthy blood flow, plus folate and antioxidants
* Carrots — loaded with beta-carotene, which our bodies convert to vitamin A to support eye, skin + immune health
* Apples — provide vitamin C and beneficial plant compounds
* Mandarin oranges — a delicious boost of vitamin C and antioxidants

Basically: a glass full of vitamin C, beta-carotene, folate, potassium + antioxidant-rich plant compounds — with natural beet nitrates that can support healthy circulation and exercise performance. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Pretty impressive for produce that was headed toward the compost pile or pig pen 😂

Also, time to wash some eggs. We just added 10 new egg layers this week, so I need to catch up!

I am working on a Thanksgiving pre-order line-up.
Planning for the HUGE Christmas event that the Lyman Farmers Market will be having in December.
And am currently working on a super special bulk order for a local school district 🥰

I have been a busy bee all thanks to you amazing people who have enjoyed my fresh baked goods!
I will be posting menus consistently very soon, and I'm going to be on the hunt for event pop-ups where I can showcase my fresh bread options & sweet treats, including Bread Pudding/Gourmet Sweet Rolls.

I have so many plans & ideas for expanding this amazing little bakeshop & hope you all are ready for the ride.

Got some Honey Nut Squash from the Lyman Farmers Market & decided on roasting them...... 🤤
They were absolutely delicious!

I lightly coated them with extra virgin olive oil & gave a generous sprinkle of salt & pepper.
Layed them cut side down so that the surface carmelized.
Once soft, I flipped them over, brushed with butter (because butter belongs everywhere 😋 lol) and sprinkled some green razzle dazzle (parsley)
