Kathi is figuring out the nest box is for laying. Had to shut her up in the coop for a few days. Maybe she has now learned the trick. Just like house training a puppy!

Every morning when I open the door to the coop, Jo jumps down, and first thing flies up to this dead tree branch, flaps his wings and surveys his territory. Love the consistancy! Then Kathi follows and pecks around. Trying to get a shot of them there together.

In many countries, eggs aren't refrigerated and they're still considered safe to eat. But in the U.S., we have to chill them, because we've washed away the cuticle that protects them from bacteria.
