Today is National Farmers Day, and we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible, hard-working local farmers who keep our community nourished, connected, and thriving! 🌾🚜

From early mornings in the fields to bringing fresh, high-quality goods to our local markets week after week, your dedication and love for the land do not go unnoticed.

To all of our local growers, producers, and farming families—thank you for everything you bring to our tables and our hearts. 💚

🎨 CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS, ILLUSTRATORS, & CREATIVES! 👜✨
We are officially launching our 2027 Tote Bag Design Contest starting TODAY!

Last year, we debuted our very first Cowlitz Community Farmers Market tote bags! For our 2027 season we want our community to be right at the heart of a new tradition. Whether you are a professional artist, a passionate hobbyist, or a talented student, we want to hand the canvas over to YOU to design next year's official market bag.

📝 How to Enter:

1. Create an original design that celebrates the heart and soul of our market community. All artistic mediums are welcome! Whether you prefer hand-drawn sketches, watercolor paintings, digital illustrations, or photography, show us your creativity. (Original human-made artwork only—no AI-generated designs, please!)

2. Email your high-resolution design file to [email protected] by midnight October 31st 2026.

⚠️ Important Requirement:
1. Make sure to include your name or signature somewhere within your artwork so it is permanently printed right on the final bags!

2. This is a family event and we expected art work to reflect that! We won't accept any art work that includes but isn't limited to: curse words, inappropriate images, political, religious etc.

3. Having our logo and website included somewhere in the art work would be fantastic!

🏆 The Prize:
The grand prize-winning artist will have their artwork printed on thousands of next year's market bags for the community to see. You will receive a tote bag featuring your design, bragging rights, and special market merch bundle!

Let’s build this new tradition together. Tag an artist below who needs to see this! 👇

Good morning, Cowlitz County!

The sun is up, the coffee is hot, and the market is humming. Have you stopped by yet?

Right now, the tables are brimming with pumpkins, earthy root veggies, and bunches of fresh flowers that refuse to quit just because the calendar flipped to October.

Take a walk in the crisp morning air and come fill your baskets with the good stuff. We're here until 2:00 PM—come say hi!

What are your plans for tomorrow morning?

If it involves a slow start with a warm coffee in hand, we hope you'll carve out a little time to wander down to the market. There's a strong sense of community when you see the trucks pull in and the tents go up as the fog burns off.

From crisp fall produce to fresh-baked sourdough, the weekend bounty is calling.
