Back in January, a successful automotive businessman in Long Beach, John Casita, approached me about helping roll out a new concept called J’s Dogs, centered around premium hot dogs, Italian sausages, and specialty links. After reviewing the concept, I not only wanted to get involved — I immediately saw the potential to co-brand it alongside Otto’s Pizza Stix.

Fast forward four months later, and we’re now preparing to launch our first location in Long Beach on May 26 at the Express Automotive Center, located on the corner of Anaheim and Ximeno.

What you’re seeing attached are early renderings as we finalize the branding, setup, and overall vision for the concept.

We look forward to serving the Long Beach community — my own backyard — and we’ll also be supporting the concept through delivery platforms so customers can enjoy everything from the convenience of their homes.

When I brought back Otto’s Pizza Stix in 2016, I made the strategic decision to add a caricature to the brand. Why? Because food is emotional, and people connect with faces, personalities, energy, and stories faster than they connect with logos alone.

For OPS, the caricature represents the personality and journey behind the company — from our New York roots in 1988 to this refreshed 2026 relaunch. It gives the brand identity and makes it feel alive instead of corporate.

Now, 10 years later, we continue that evolution with a refreshed caricature that will become part of our branding moving forward across special events, online stores, merchandise, marketing, and future locations.
