🎃 Pumpkin & Mum Update 🌸

We’ve had several questions asking if we’ll have the pumpkin trailer in the field or have another market this year, so we wanted to share a little update.

Unfortunately, with the extremely dry summer we’ve had, our pumpkin crop was not nearly as plentiful as we had hoped. Mom picked about 90% of the patch last night, and we’re going to save these pumpkins for Harvest at Hilltop. 🎃🍂

We’re definitely bummed — especially after having such an amazing crop last year. But this is just part of farming. Some years are abundant, and some years simply aren’t. It’s also a pretty good lesson for the boys to learn: you can work hard, do everything you can, and sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. 🌱

As for the mums, we’ve decided to pause on growing them for now. They are a lot of work to maintain, and with everything else going on, we’ve decided it’s best to take a break.

We’re so thankful for everyone who has supported our little farm, asked about our pumpkins and mums, and continues to cheer us on. ❤️ We’re looking forward to Harvest at Hilltop and making the most of what this year’s crop has given us! 🍁🎃

Our amazing mom took a solo trip to the patch this morning. I guess we aren’t very much help weeding. It was so muddy. She had to pull the weeds one by one. I think we may owe her a 90 minute massage. 😝

Side note- check out those pumpkins!! 🎃
