Hello Lexington Farmers Market Community!

My name is Kristen, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Market Coordinator for the Lexington Farmers Market!

Agriculture has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the agricultural community, primarily within the dairy industry, where I developed a deep appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and passion that goes into producing local food and agricultural products. My love for growing things started early thanks to my grandmother, who passed down her green thumb and taught me the value of nurturing plants and connecting with the land.

I continued pursuing my passion by completing two years of technical school focused on sustainable agriculture. I was also an active member of FFA, where I had the opportunity to compete at the national level and earned a Gold rating in Dairy Cattle Evaluation at Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky.

One of the things I love most about farmers markets is how they bring communities together. I am passionate about supporting local small businesses, including farmers of all sizes, crafters, artists, makers, and hobbyists who contribute their talents and products to our local economy. These markets are more than just places to shop—they are places to connect, support one another, and celebrate the creativity and hard work within our community.

Although I work remotely, I am committed to supporting our vendors, customers, and the Lexington community. I look forward to getting to know the people who make this market special and helping continue its growth and success.
