TODAY’S SHARED RHYTHM
Loved Before We Got It Right

I was looking over my to-do list this morning, and before I could even get started, I caught myself thinking about a few things I should've handled better yesterday.

Funny how we can carry yesterday into a brand-new day.

Then I sat with Romans 5:8, where Paul reminds us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

That stayed with me.

Jesus didn't wait for us to get it right before He loved us.

And I'm learning that I don't have to spend today trying to earn what He's already given me.

Maybe that's something we can both carry today.

What would today look like if we simply started from knowing we're already loved?

Growing strawberries doesn't have to be a weeding nightmare. By using landscape fabric with pre-spaced holes, you can cut down maintenance and simplify your harvest. The Ruby June variety is perfect for home gardens, offering a compact, upright growth and incredible deep red fruit. Have you ever tried growing strawberries this way?

You Don't Have to Be First

A couple days ago, while we were bringing in the pecan harvest at Koinonia, the elevator that moves pecans into the sizing machine broke down. Well, that wasn't part of the plan! But everybody pitched in, figuring out how to keep things moving. Some were sorting pecans, others removing sticks and debris.

What caught me was how everybody had a part, and no one person could do it all.

That brought me back to Jesus' words in Luke 14:11 about humility. Sometimes following Jesus means being content doing our part without needing to be the most important person in the room.

Maybe today we can just show up, do our part, and make room for others to do theirs.

🍓 Well, y'all, I'm back out here at the Sunbelt Ag Expo, getting the last of our Ruby June strawberries in the ground!

Figured I'd hop on LIVE and take y'all through our Flint River Fresh strawberry patch.

🎥 Come walk with me! I'll show you how we're using landscape fabric and drip irrigation, why we're planting strawberries in October, and a few things you can try in your own backyard.

Let's grow something good together! 🍓🌱

God Is Still Working in You

I was thinking about how Flint River Fresh started with just putting gardens in schools. Come next year, that'll be ten years ago. And now we're helping families, neighborhoods, and communities learn to grow food right where they are.

When we started, I sure didn't know everything I was doing. Still don't. But looking back, I can see how God kept opening doors and bringing people alongside us.

That's what caught me in Philippians 1:6. Paul reminds us that God finishes the good work He begins.

And I'm learning that just because I can't see what's next doesn't mean Jesus has stopped working.

Where might Jesus still be working in your life?

So, the other day at Koinonia, we were bringing in the pecan harvest when the elevator to our sizing machine broke down. And I'm thinking, well, how are we going to keep things moving?

But what I appreciated was seeing everybody pitch in. Some dealing with the equipment, others removing sticks and debris from the pecans. We couldn't control what broke, but we could work with what we had.

And that's what caught me in Ephesians 6:10, when Paul says, *“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”*

**Jesus never asked us to stand in our own strength.**

That harvest reminded me that trusting Jesus doesn't mean everything goes according to plan. It means depending on Him, even when it doesn't.

Where might you need to trust Jesus instead of trying to hold everything together yourself?

True community growth doesn't happen overnight. It takes months of dedicated effort to build a local food movement from the ground up. Watching a single garden bloom reminds us that patience is the key to meaningful change.
