I’ve been dreading making this post. Unfortunately, we will not be planting a garden this year and will not have any produce available for sale. The Peanuts are all growing up! Princess Peanut (Makana) is graduating from U of I this weekend and is planning a fall wedding. Sam has a full-time job and is in the plumber’s apprenticeship. Maddux has a full-time job and is in the electrician’s apprenticeship. Cy is a full-time student, working towards his teaching degree, and works for us at Millie’s. Willie is having his second shoulder replaced in early June and will be down for a good part of the summer. And Mindi is just trying to hold it all together with Millie’s and life in general 😂
Something had to take a back seat for summer and the garden it is! We are not planting grass seed in the area just yet so we will evaluate in the winter and make our decision for next year’s plans at that time.
We want to thank all of those who have supported our little garden over the years. It has taught our children a lot. They gained a strong work ethic, communication skills, marketing skills, and friendships all from their little business. They will all still be around Millie’s from time to time and may just be back in the garden down the road. Many thanks, friends❤️
