Our field of sweet corn๐ŸŒฝ that froze earlier this year is now our miracle field. The boss decided not to replant it after it froze. It has been growing back from little frozen sticks and now there are tassels out in May.

Grateful that only the first section of sweet corn sustained a lot of damage (leaves burned back to the main stem). It is trying to grow back but will be a few weeks later in maturing than if it wouldn't have frozen.
Our tree fruit growers in Northern Utah took the brunt of damage from our last cold spell. Find a way to support them this summer if you can. Our peach grower lost all their peaches in Utah County. Time will tell but hopefully they have enough fruit from other areas to supply our stands this summer.

We have been working hard this spring! Cold temperatures might deal a fatal blow to our early sweet corn though. We were hoping for sweet corn in June!

Keep your prayers up for our fruit growers and farmers the next few nights. Could be a long summer without peaches, cherries, apricots, and early produce.
