Bernice Heggs, or Bammy, as she is affectionately called, is the creator of Bammy’s Garlic Butter Sauce. After working hard for twenty-five years at Sears, Bammy retired in 1993. In 1995, Bammy came out of retirement to pursue her dream of opening her own seafood restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. Heggs House of Seafood was the number one choice for seafood restaurants in southwest Florida for eight

years. Once the buzz about Bammy’s Garlic Butter Sauce began to spread, customers from Georgia, Virginia, Alabama and other nearby states rushed in to have a taste of her culinary magic! This amazing sauce has made Bammy a legend in her community and beyond.
