We offer fresh, local food at a great value - rain or shine! Since 1976, our vendors have provided the community with a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs honey, w**e, prepared foods, and much, much more.

"This week’s vendor spotlight is Moon on the Meadow!

Farmer Jill Elmers got her start in 2000. What began as a chance to try organic farming became a lasting commitment to growing food and building connections in our community.

Moon on the Meadow is a certified organic farm on the eastern edge of Lawrence, growing vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. The farm uses high tunnels to extend the growing season, helping bring local produce to tables beyond the summer months. Jill also welcomes apprentices through Growing Growers, sharing experience with people learning to farm.

Next time you’re at the Market, stop by their booth, ask what’s growing, and bring a little of that local goodness home.

Start your Halloween with a little Market mischief! Our annual Trick or Eat is happening Saturday, October 31, from 7:30–11:30 AM at Lawrence Farmers Market.

Costumes are strongly encouraged! Come show off your Halloween look while you shop for local produce, grab breakfast, and visit your favorite vendors. Keep costumes family-friendly and respectful of all cultures and communities so everyone can enjoy the fun! Many vendors will be handing out treats or toys, and the kids booth will have a toy available, too.

Enter our costume contest for a chance to win $20 in Market tokens! We’ll take your photo, share it online, and invite the Lawrence community to vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced on Instagram, with tokens ready to pick up at the next Farmers Market. If you don’t use social media, stop by the Market Info Booth the following Saturday to find out who won.

Bring the family, bring your shopping bags, and give that costume an extra outing. We can’t wait to see what you wear!

Saturday was a warm one, with beautiful produce and flowers everywhere we looked. Shoppers carried off the biggest pumpkins their arms—or strollers—could manage, and looked cool doing it.

Lawrence Farmers Market shirts hit the proverbial runway, and you all came dressed to impress. Full hands, cool fits. We love to see it.

It’s looking a bit chillier this Saturday! Join us for Stuff the Bus with Just Food by purchasing items from local vendors to donate to their mobile food pantry. Stop by the Market Info Booth or Just Food’s bus for a list of eligible items before you shop.

We’re also bringing back tie-dye! Bring a Farmers Market shirt to dye for free, or your own blank for $5. You’ll find us at the kids booth next to the Market Info Booth.

Grab breakfast, fill your bags, and add a little color to your Saturday. See you there!

Good morning!

Even though it will be in the 80s later it feels crisp and fall-like this morning so get to the market and enjoy a beautiful stroll. Pick up some fall produce, a warm coffee or tea, and one of our wonderful breakfast options.

This week, we’re getting to know Jake Creek Pecans!

Owners Brad and Lila Carter planted their first 200 pecan saplings in 1994 in a former cornfield along Jake Creek. What began as a hobby grew into a full-time job, with an orchard of 1,700 trees in Paola, Kansas. Their year follows the trees: pruning and grafting in spring, watering and mowing in summer, and harvesting, cleaning, inspecting, and selling in fall.

Pecans have their own personalities, too! Jake Creek describes Pawnee as sweet and buttery, Kanza as a baker favorite, and Goosepond as mild in flavor. Stop by their booth to learn more and pick up some Kansas-grown pecans for baking, sharing, or eating straight from the bag.

More color, please! We had so much fun tie-dyeing at our 50th anniversary party that we’re bringing it back on Saturday, October 17.

Bring a Lawrence Farmers Market item to dye for free, or bring an item of your own and join in for $5. We’ll be at the kid booth next to the Market Info Booth, ready to help you add a little color to your Market morning. Additionally, we have some blank kid and infant sizes of our 50 Years Fresh t-shirts still available for sale, so show your love for the Market and support our mission with your own shirt!

Make a morning of it with breakfast, your favorite vendors, and a bag full of fall produce. Lawrence Farmers Market is open all the way through November 21, and we’d love to spend these Saturdays with you!

Saturday, you were a beauty. Phenomenal weather, good company, and tables full of reasons to bring an extra bag.

Maypops made a brief appearance in the morning, and our loyalty card winner came by to collect a goodie bag of Market favorites! Sun-dried tomatoes, pawpaws, plenty of squash, and beautiful mums were among this week’s finds.

Fall at Lawrence Farmers Market gives us so much to look forward to each week. There’s still time to enjoy a morning wandering the booths, chatting with vendors, and bringing home something delicious. We hope to see you right through our last market on November 21!

Connecting with local food and community is what Lawrence Farmers Market is all about. As we celebrate 50 years, we’re taking a little time to hear from the people who make that connection possible.

Vendor board member Michael Wunsch of T3 Farms created this wonderful video for our Sustainable Supper. It features Market vendors Hidden Hollow Farm, Wild Alive, and Taste of the Land, local chefs T.K. Peterson and Finn Huerter, and more sharing what sustainability and 50 years of the Market mean to them.

This is one of our longer reels, and we hope you’ll settle in and spend a few minutes with the people behind your Saturday mornings.

Buy local, donate local on October 17th! Just Food's Cruising Cupboard will join us at the Lawrence Farmers Market to collect donations of local food and other products for people who need them. Help us stuff the bus to support the local vendors who feed us all year while feeding your community.
