WishGarden is one of those herbal companies I’ve always appreciated because they’ve stayed pretty true to what they started as. They’ve been around since 1979, are still woman-owned and family-run, and today the company is owned by herbalist Catherine Hunziker and her children. They also make their formulas in their own certified facility in Colorado and put a real emphasis on organic, sustainably grown and ethically wild-harvested herbs. They became a Certified B Corp in 2025 as well.
A few of my favorites from the line:
Sleepy Nights & Fresh Mornings is for those nights when your body is tired but your brain apparently has other plans. It uses calming herbs without melatonin, kava or valerian, and is designed to help quiet that mental chatter without leaving you feeling drugged or groggy the next morning.
Deep Lung is probably one of their best-known formulas. It’s a nine-herb respiratory blend featuring traditional herbs like mullein, elecampane, osha and yerba santa, formulated for bronchial and lung support, seasonal respiratory challenges and exposure to things like smoke or pollution.
Serious Cough is more specifically aimed at the cough itself, helping soothe irritated throats and bronchial passages while supporting a productive respiratory response. I also like that WishGarden clearly differentiates between something like Deep Lung for broader respiratory support and Serious Cough for those times when the cough is the main problem.
And their roots in women’s health are still very much alive. AfterEase was created for after-birth cramping and discomfort, while Postpartum Emotional is designed to support mood and emotional balance during those intense early postpartum days. These aren’t products that were tacked onto the line later because postpartum became a trendy category. WishGarden actually grew out of the midwifery community, and some of those early formulas are still part of the company today.
