Back in 1938, a lone cowboy rode into the Nevada desert with nothing but a tortilla and a dream. Day three, his horse ate the dream. He spent the next 40 years wandering, looking for something worthy enough to put in that tortilla.

Legend says he finally stumbled onto Valley View, walked into Larry's that opened in 1978, and got handed our marinated beef taco meat. He cried. The horse cried. And every Tuesday since, we honor his journey.

We've had so many calls and people stopping in asking about Larry's Package from Labor Day that we're bringing it back for fall.

Ribeye steaks, ribeye burgers, filet mignon kabob chunks, bacon, party wings, babyback ribs, our house made sausages and all beef hot dogs. Around 18 lbs of meat for $159. That works out to about $8.83 a pound.

Great for game days, tailgates, or just stocking the freezer before the holidays.

Vegas sure looked different when Larry's was getting started. Almost 50 years later, we still love seeing what's happening around our city.

Tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 19), Southern Nevada Pedal Fest is at Floyd Lamb Park from 9 AM–3 PM. Group rides, demo bikes, a gravel race, food trucks, vendors and a b**r garden, and it's free. 🚲

If you're looking for something different to do this weekend, there you go.
