Did you know?! Pigs 🐷 have very few, non-functional sweat glands? Since they can’t sweat to cool down, the phrase “sweating like a pig” is completely upside down. Pigs actually regulate their body temperature by wallowing in the mud or water or panting like a dog. Pigs are actually pretty clean animals from our perspective. They have one specific area they use for the bathroom. Although they always look dirty, muddy & gross they’re really not. They’re just trying to stay cool; avoid the sunburn and discouraged flies from biting by wearing mud paint! We still have some pasture raised pork available for a summer butcher, date DM or call me for details! 🐷
