Happy Anniversary No Ka Oi Deli…. 1997 till 2016 physically. So many things have changed. Thank goodness we didn’t have to deal with the past couple of years. Whitney is now 14. Some customers and family have moved on to the Heavens. Thank you for all the friendships we gained and customers who still want a No Ka Oi fix; miracles happen some times 😉 Take care everyone ❤️

5 years ago today our doors were closed. The mall is still empty, yet there is for lease signs. I’m not gonna lie, I will be irritated when someone actually goes into our old spot. But then again we’re not looking to go back and in the words of Alton. We are free!🤦🏻‍♀️. Food truck? Don’t swear at him🤦🏻‍♀️ Laurie, of course I missed your money!😉🤣. Have a great day❤️❤️

We are so sad to hear one of our customers who came on the daily has gained their angel wings. He loved to come and harass our girls; especially Maile. All in good fun. He loved to grumble, ask questions, and grumble again. He was never picky, just came to get food, mind you make anything I felt like making and he didn’t even mind having toasted rye sandwich with the butts of the bread. It actually was his favorite🤪. We already missed seeing him when the deli closed, but every now and the we’d catch him in town either driving or at the store still harassing and joking from afar. My comment was always, “I miss your money!” He would laugh and shake his hand saying “no more money”. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Just wanted to share, how the deli was a lot of hard work, but truly allowed us to gain a lot of great friends. Wishing everyone well wishes❤️. This picture of Whitney came up on my memories today. The mall was her play ground.

It’s been a moment... wishing my mom a happy 80th birthday today. Yes, she was still working hard at the deli in her 60’s plus! Hoping everyone is staying safe and healthy. ❤️
