🌿🐓 Rooster & Henny Farm Stand Update 🐓🌿

On this Good Friday, we are reminded of the greatest gift of all—**the Lord’s gift of salvation.** ✝️

*“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”* – Matthew 28:5-6

We are so grateful this weekend as we reflect on His sacrifice and the hope we have because **He rose again, just like He said.**

Sourdough is back! But this time with an incredibly better twist 🍞

Starting the weekend after Easter, we will be taking orders for fresh milled sourdough loaves 💙 This is something I have greatly looked forward to, as bread should be a nourishing food for our bodies. Fresh milled flour stands out, and to add the slow fermentation of the sourdough, only makes it that much better.

✨️Key Health Benefits✨️
Enhanced Nutrition: Freshly milled flour retains the bran and germ, which contain 90% of the grain’s nutrients, including essential fiber, vitamins, and minerals. (40 of the 44 essential nutrients to sustain life)

Easier Digestion: Long fermentation breaks down gluten and antinutrients (like phytic acid), making it lighter on the stomach and easier to digest than processed flour breads.

OPEN TODAY! March 14th

We have fresh bread coming out of the oven right now, so it will be warm and ready at the stand shortly! If you’ve been hoping to grab a fresh loaf, today is a great day to stop by.

🍓 New to the stand this week: All-Natural Strawberry Jam
Made simply with strawberries, lemon juice and sugar — no added pectin, letting the fruit shine through with a rich, homemade flavor. Perfect on toast, biscuits, or warm bread.

We’re also excited to share some new items from my friend Katy with Sonnenblume Skin Care this week. She’s brought two beautiful handmade soaps that smell absolutely wonderful:

🧼 Comfrey & Eucalyptus Soap – Comfrey has long been valued for supporting skin health and helping soothe dry or irritated skin, while eucalyptus offers a refreshing scent and an invigorating, clean feel.

🧼 Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Soap – A classic gentle blend known for helping calm and moisturize the skin. Oatmeal is often used to soothe sensitive or dry skin, while milk and honey help nourish and soften.

Both soaps are made with tallow and castor oil, creating a rich, moisturizing lather.

🌿 Farm Stand Open Today and Tomorrow! (March 6 & 7)🌿

The stand is open and we’ve got a few fresh and new items ready for you this week!

🍞 New Artisan Bread — baked in a rustic boule shape, perfect for slicing, dipping, or enjoying warm with butter.
🍪 Traditional Sugar Cookie Bars — soft, sweet, and simple.
🍫 Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars — a classic favorite in an easy shareable bar.

✨ New to the stand this week:
🌼 Dandelion Root Tincture

Dandelion root has been used traditionally for generations as a supportive herbal remedy. Many people appreciate it for its potential to:
• Support liver health and natural detoxification
• Aid digestion and help stimulate bile production
• Act as a gentle diuretic, supporting kidney function
• Provide antioxidants that help support overall wellness

This tincture is alcohol-based, which helps extract and preserve the beneficial compounds from the root and allows it to have a long shelf life. Tinctures are typically taken in small dropper amounts and can be added to a little water or tea if preferred. Because it contains alcohol, it may not be suitable for children, those avoiding alcohol, or individuals who are pregnant or nursing.
