To put into perspective what a hard year it has been…last year we had 9 hives produce honey, and got an astounding 1,200 lbs of honey!! It was a great year, for sure! THIS year, we had 14 hives produce and only got 409 lbs of honey. 😢 😢
While we are thankful for ANYthing extra our bees provide, the wild difference will definitely mean a shorter selling window this year.
Prayers for all of the keepers and farmers that this next year will be better! Better temps, better moisture, better flowers and pollen…!
