What could be more Kirkwood than a legacy business in a historic building? ❤️
Turns out, Fox’s Finest isn’t the first neighborhood market to call the corner of Argonne and Clay home.
Built in 1875, Leo Heinzelman sold bakery goods, groceries, meats and vegetables at the corner store 🥩🥦🥖 Later, he even added a drug store — making this place a go-to spot for the community.
And the best part? After school, kids would rush in to spend their pennies on candy and sweet treats 🍬
More than 100 years later, we’re honored to carry on that same community spirit — bringing good food, gathering neighbors together, and creating a place that feels uniquely Kirkwood.
