On the left is what the 20 pound bull breast box looks like - you will need to pack it individually yourself.

If you are interested in the 20 pound box today, Friday or Saturday is THE BEST time to grab one. They are fresh and not frozen. On Saturday they go in the deep freeze!

The peeps have been evicted from the basement! Well at least during the day - we will bring them back inside depending on the night time temps. Took them a minute but they quickly hopped down and started going for some breakfast!

York Farm also brought us some beautiful leeks!!!!

My top three recommendations: potato leek soup, buttery sautéed leeks, and leek-and-cheddar quiche. They’re easy, comforting, and delicious ways to introduce someone to this underrated vegetable!

A few tips for cooking with leeks
💦Clean them well! Dirt often hides between the layers. Slice them first, then rinse thoroughly in a bowl of water.
🔪 Use the white and light-green parts for most recipes. The dark-green tops can flavor stocks and soups.
🥘Cook them low and slow to bring out their natural sweetness.
🧅 Use them instead of onions in many recipes, including stuffing, casseroles, sauces, and roasted vegetables.
