Ice Age Naturals is a union of small farms working together to produce pastured meats and poultry. Our core focus is to provide locally grown pastured meats produced in a sustainable and healing way. . We committed to producing quality wholesome food for our local community. Our philosophy is pretty simple, chickens are chickens, cows are cows and pigs are pigs. We let them do what chicken, pigs,

and cows do in the ways they choose to do it. Our job is to integrate the farms processes and paddocks in a productive and healthful way, providing a natural, sustainable environment that restores the land we work into the most naturally productive environment it can be. This environment naturally produces some of the best foods we can deliver to market. Our laying hens roam the farm to get what they need producing eggs have beautiful orange yolks, our beef is raised on grass and naturally lean, and our pigs root in pastures to forage for some of their natural foods. The impact of this philosophy enables the elimination hormone and chemical uses, drive soil and tilth building healing of the land, supports the local economy, creates community and reduces the travel time of your food. There is no better feeling in life that knowing where your food comes from and having a deep connection to it. Know your farmer!

On Tuesday of last week Charlie, our Large Black boar, injured one of his back legs. After several days of pain meds, and trying to get Charlie back on his feet, he was still unable to use his back legs. We had a vet visit, and it was determined that Charlie would never be able to walk again. It was a difficult decision, but we had Charlie put down Friday night. It was a sad day for us.
