Techy I'm not...nor getting any younger. I'm sure I posted earlier in the week which flavors of our hand-crafted chips we were making this week at Rustic Road Brewing Company.

I'm positive I posted the most recent ROSE winner.

Now I'm "knee deep" in figuring out what to make for the following week and for early July (minus the 4th as we have no Kenosha HARBOR Market)...designing new flavors and ordering spices...

AND...I can't seem to find the post! It seems to have disappeared into cyberspace!

Oh well, I suppose I could list all the craziness of the week and the "whys" for forgetting. Basically it's just LIFE stuff. But I think sometimes we forget that as small business owners we wear ALL the hats. And then there's the family, the dogs and personal stuff as well. Oh so many hats!!!

So, please ask if you'd like to know which flavor is this week or next or all the way into July 22nd's market - it's all planned ahead! But do it here. Not at the Market as I'm sure I'll confuse which one is when. We've got over 70 now! And then there's the salsa and the wild rice blends and the cheese and the curds and the...............

FLAG DAY - 6/14...The idea was famously championed by a Wisconsin schoolteacher named Bernard J. Cigrand in 1885. Symbolism of the Flag: the colors have come to represent core American values: Red: Valor and hardiness, White: Purity and innocence, Blue: Vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

Why is it celebrated? To honor the history, meaning, and values the Stars and Stripes represent as a unifying symbol of the United States.

Is it just another way to promote business? Sure. But also a way to show what we stand for. American as Apple Pie...and Cherry...and just a way to have FUN! United we stand. Divided we fall.

After last night's storm, heading out to Mars Cheese Castle this afternoon with a few bags of A Green Onion, Apple Pie Crust, Bourbon Peppercorn, Cheddar'n Bacon, Cherry Crusted, Chicago Steakhouse, Garlic Sauteed Black Truffled, Loaded Baked "Potato" and Veggie Dill!

Hope to see you at Kenosha Harbor Market on the Plaza de Douai 201 56th St from 9 am to 2 pm tomorrow, 6/13.

Hey mom...we were good while you went out at 7 am this morning to make chips at Rustic Road Brewing Company!! Time to pay attention to us! Gold Star behavior!!

Thanks to these two, there will be chips for Kenosha Harbor Market this Saturday. Trust me, with this heat and humidity I'd like to have stayed home with them in the A/C! But they woke up to the alarm, nudged me to take them out, feed them and then...let them go back to sleep!

As long as I was awake, and knowing how much y'all love my chips, off I went. This week there are several new flavors along with a bunch of favorites! Hope you'll come over to the Plaza de Douai between 9 am and 2 pm!

Chip shapes are changing...have you noticed? Sometimes your bag will have HUGE pieces as well as tiny triangles. No longer can I say there are 9218 pieces in production. WHY? Because we're using a pizza cutter these days! And we're too busy to count! That's a good thing, right?

All still delectable. All still made at Rustic Road Brewing Company where this week's "happy hour" chips will be Veggie Dill!

Other flavors for the Kenosha HarborMarket for Saturday 6/13 (Flag Day Weekend)? Cheddar'n Bacon, Cherry Crusted, A Green Onion, Bourbon Peppercorn, Chicago Steakhouse, Loaded "Potato" and 2 of our International Flavor Awards winners: Apple Pie Crust and Garlic Sautéed Black Truffled!

Cheese varieties from Pine River Dairy will be posted later in the week along with various Amish items from Yaeger's Farm Market!

Hello out there all of you BLUE CHEESE Chip fans!! You've been asking and YES - THIS week we're making them at Rustic Road Brewing Company! We will be bringing them to Kenosha HarborMarket (on the Plaza 201 56th St) on Saturday June 6th, where they will be available from 9 am to 2 pm...or until they sell out! Don't count on the rain keeping people away from the Market - it's rain or shine unless thunderstorms call it off!

We're making twice the number of them...and are attempting to figure out how many to pack for the Market and how many to take to Mars Cheese Castle!
