Built by small businesses, for small businesses.

Now that our first season of Third Thursday Night Market has officially come to an end, we finally have a chance to step back and look at what we built.

And when we say we, we really do mean all of us.

Third Thursday Night Market was created by a small business for small businesses. There wasn't a big organization or huge event budget behind it. Rooted Plant Co. organized and hosted the market, while vendor fees helped cover advertising, signs, flyers, market materials, and all the little things it took to bring people through the gates each month.

Because from the beginning, this market was built for our vendors.

We know how hard it is to build a business from the ground up, and we're incredibly passionate about creating opportunities for other small businesses to be seen, grow, and find new customers.

We happened to have a parking lot with the space and visibility to bring a whole bunch of those businesses together. So we did.

And look at them. ❤️

These are some of the people who hauled in tents, tables, displays, products and food all summer long. They shared our posts, invited their customers, supported the businesses beside them, and helped turn an idea into a community event.

And then you showed up for them.

You shopped, ate, grabbed drinks, brought your families, discovered new businesses and came back month after month.

To every small business that took a chance on our first season, and every person who spent a Thursday evening supporting them: thank you.

And we can officially tell you Third Thursday Night Market will be back in 2027.

We've learned a lot in year one and already have some big ideas for what's next, but the heart of this market isn't changing: Small businesses supporting small businesses.

REMINDER: There is going to be a 35-FOOT MOBILE ARCADE at Third Thursday! 🎮

We already gave you the big reveal, but this one deserves a reminder before Thursday.

Battle Bus Mobile Arcade is rolling into our FINAL Third Thursday Night Market of the 2026 season!

Come Step inside their massive mobile arcade for a break from shopping and challenge your kids, your friends—or your significant other who swears they're better at video games than you are.

And this isn't just for the kids. Battle Bus is bringing a whole lineup of arcade games plus gaming inside the bus, so there's plenty of fun to go around.

Shop the vendors. Grab dinner. Get a fall drink from the B**r Garden. Play some games. Stay awhile.

We wanted our final market of the season to feel like more than somewhere you stop by and shop—we want it to be somewhere you can actually spend your Thursday night. Battle Bus is going to make this one even more fun.

The B**r Garden is back for Third Thursday!

Tylor from Birdies and Brews is joining us again for our final market of the 2026 season, and he’s bringing plenty to sip on while you eat, shop, and hang out with us.

He’ll have customer favorites like seltzers, hard lemonades, and more, but we wanted to do something a little special for September.

So, we teamed up with Apple Acres Ochard to bring a taste of fall to the B**r Garden! Tylor has created a special hard c***r menu featuring fresh apple c***r from Apple Acres, made right here in the Kearney area. 🍎

Grab some dinner, pick out a fall drink, and settle into the B**r Garden for one last Third Thursday evening of the season.

🚨 A little parking PSA before Third Thursday 🚨

As our Night Market has grown, so has the number of cars around our little corner of downtown and we need your help being good neighbors!

When visiting Third Thursday, please use public street parking and public parking areas. And just like any community event or market, plan to park and walk a little to get to the fun. You may not find a spot right next to the market, and that's okay!

Please DO NOT park in nearby apartment parking lots or neighboring business lots. These are private spaces reserved for their residents, customers, and employees. Unauthorized vehicles may be subject to towing at the property owner's discretion.

We intentionally host Third Thursday on our property rather than closing downtown streets, and part of making that work is being respectful of the neighborhood around us.

So grab a public spot, enjoy the short walk, and come spend the evening with us.

Thank you for helping us be good neighbors and keep Third Thursday a positive addition to Downtown Kearney!

A new addition to tonight’s lineup!

After we shared our official vendor list, we added one more local business to the mix. We’re excited to welcome 52 County Grains & Milling to Third Thursday Night Market!

They’ll be bringing wheat berries, whole non-GMO corn, freshly ground wheat, and cornmeal. If you love baking from scratch, milling your own flour, or simply knowing more about where your ingredients come from, make sure you stop by and check them out.

Hair tinseling was a hit at our August market, so Paige Ahrens of Wild Roots Hair Co. will be offering it ON SITE again for our last Third Thursday of the season.

Pick your favorite colors and let Paige add a little sparkle while you’re at the market. It’s fun, temporary, and such an easy way to switch things up without committing to a whole new look.

Paige is also a local hairstylist available for your everyday hair needs, weddings, events, and more, so while you’re in her chair, it’s the perfect chance to get to know the woman behind Wild Roots Hair Co.

Vendor Spotlight: Sal & Sol Sourdough 🍞

Look... we love Sal & Sol Sourdough, but we love the woman behind it just as much.

Marissa is one of those people who genuinely wants to see other small businesses succeed. She is constantly sharing, supporting, encouraging, and cheering on the people around her, and she has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for our growing night market.

Plus, her sourdough is REALLY good.

Sal & Sol Sourdough will be back Thursday with their organic, long-fermented sourdough creations, and if you need recommendations, we know exactly where to start: the mini-loaf flights, sourdough pizza crust, and those chocolate chip cookies.

We couldn't imagine wrapping up our 2026 season without Sal & Sol there with us. Come support a business that spends so much time supporting everyone else.
