The Dotte Mobile Grocer relies heavily on community partners to help us connect people with access to healthy, affordable food. When returning to service, we reached out to existing partners, and the Turner Recreation Commission welcomed the Dotte Mobile Grocer back to provide a consistent, reliable resource for their community members.
Located in the historic heart of the Turner district, this center offers multiple sports, programs, fitness facilities, services, special events, and community resources for people of all ages & abilities. In doing so, they also provide spaces & opportunities for people to gather as a community. Their commitment to the goals of their mission is evident whenever you visit the center.
Turner Recreation Commission’s goals are closely aligned with those of the Dotte Mobile Grocer, making the partnership a natural fit. Healthy individuals & healthy communities rely on each other. Promoting & supporting a healthy community requires planning, hard work, & commitment. But it’s also important to include fun, creativity, & joy. The team at Turner Rec works every day to provide opportunities to build wellness & community while always including space for fun & encouraging empathy & kindness. We see it in our customers when we are met with friendly curiosity & when we witness customers shopping for neighbors & family members, so they don’t miss the chance to get a great deal on healthy food.
