Eric and I had a community garden that we ran for four years in South Florida. In 2017, I went from working part-time to full-time, so we had to bring it to an end. We used to love using our fresh veggies from the community garden to make yummy juice. Since then, we have been dreaming about using the juicer again. Well, our dream finally came true, and we were able to use it! We juiced some beets, carrots, apples, and ginger. And oh my goodness, it was so good and refreshing! The leftover pulp (in the ziploc bag) went to the chickens, and they were so happy! We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow, Saturday, June 13th, at the Jonesborough Farmers Market from 8 am to 12 pm. ohhhh my goodness it was sooooo good and refreshing!

Today we remember Gary Burkett and the lasting impact he had on our local food community. Gary was a dedicated supporter of local farmers and served on the Jonesborough Locally Grown Board. On his birthday, we encourage everyone to honor his memory by supporting local food and the people who grow it. Thank you, Gary, for helping our community thrive.

Jonesborough thank you all for your support! We really enjoyed visiting with you all and sharing food ideas. We look forward to seeing you all again this coming Saturday, June 13th from 8 am to 12 pm.

For those of you who could not make it to the Jonesborough Farmers market this past Saturday, you can stop by Boone Street Market. They have a limited supply of our produce, poultry and granola. Saturday, we delivered our carrot bunches to them. So if you are in the Jonesborough area pay them a visit. They have lots of yummy homegrown options!
