Hey neighbors, happy new year! We’re back! It’s been a hot minute since we last chatted. A lot has happened since then, and we are happy to report that we will be back this summer with our Farmstand!

It’s going to look a little different and it may not be as full all the time, but we miss our Little Red Stand. She’s going to make her comeback in a limited way this year with some new offerings in addition to your favorite no spray fruits and veggies, and of course, flower jars.

Stay tuned for more info in the coming months as we start garden planning and figuring out our relaunch.

Excited to be part of the Heart of Ohio Farmers’ Market this farm season! Be sure to mark your calendars and give it a visit.

Produce!! Our survey revealed that produce is the primary reason people attend the market, and we are excited to share our produce vendors with you. This year, we will have the pleasure of offering fruit, including strawberries, blackberries, and watermelon, grown by Concord Homestead. Andrea and Dan Drennen, owners of Concord Homestead in Johnstown, have been cultivating their own food in their garden since 2015, yielding bountiful harvests every year, exceeding their personal consumption needs. In 2023, they decided to share their passion for fresh produce by establishing a farm stand on their two-acre property, marking the inception of Concord Homestead. As a family with young children, including a newborn, they have temporarily closed their farm stand for 2025 but are enthusiastic about the opportunity to focus on providing the Heart of Ohio Farmers’ Market with fresh produce. Their offerings will include strawberries, radishes, green beans, peppers, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, blackberries, and watermelon. The Heart of Ohio Business Association is proud to offer the produce of Concord Homestead.

📣 ANNOUCEMENT: The Farmstand at Concord Homestead will not be opening this year due to a few things…

Exhibit A: The Farmstand was destroyed during one of our wonderful wind storms we had over the winter ☹️

Exhibit B: We had a baby girl!! 😍 Miss Morgan is only a month old and she and her older brother Sam are rightfully taking up ALL of our time and energy.

But don’t worry! We are still having our garden and will have produce available weekly at Happy Dog Farm Stand in Alexandria and the Heart of Ohio Farmers’ Market in just a few weeks with strawberries 🍓

You’ll be hearing less from us this season as we enjoy our growing family, but we hope you’ll stay tuned in the years to come. Who knows what next year will bring.

🚩LAST DAY FOR THE SEASON!!! We have watermelon, bell peppers, banana peppers (that have been trending hot rather than sweet!) and tomatoes. Since it’s our last day, we put out some tomatoes that haven’t completely ripened, so just let them sit out for a few days on the counter to get the freshest tomatoes there are! Thank you all for an AMAZING season, we appreciate everyone who has supported our little stand. 👩🏻‍🌾🫶

🚩LAST DAY FOR SOURDOUGH BREAD! 🚩We are wrapping up the Farmstand for 2024 this weekend, and today is our last day for Simple Life Bakery Sourdough loaves. We have a special running on our salad - $1 per bag!! Watermelon, peppers, and cherry tomatoes are out there too! Hope you stop by 👩🏻‍🌾
