Our sandwiches are still only $8.00!

Every ingredient we use has gone up over the 6 years we've offered them but we keep our price the same to fit in with the many quick, affordable, delicious food options in Jackson Heights.

We use all the high quality ingredients we sell in shop, no Boars Head here.

Ingredients like salami for our 3 meat, unsalted butter for our ham & butter, and mozzarella on a stirato baguette delivered that morning.

We offer four types, they are pre-made in the morning to sell throughout the day. Sandwich sales were very low this winter, but with the change in weather we are hoping more people come out.

We will keep the price at $8.00 as long as it makes sense but please check out some of the roughly 100 different cheeses we offer while you grab one.

I'm long overdue to talk about this exciting project we were lucky to be a part of. When asked us to be a part of their trading cards idea, I thought, what an amazing idea, yes!

Like many people my age, trading cards were a big part of my childhood but even more so because my Dad collected and sold baseball cards. I would sort cards with him and go to card shows where he would set up a table to sell and I would walk around buying cheap used comic books, such great memories.

In 1989 my parents opened Kenney's Cardboards, a skateboard and baseball card shop in Newtown, PA. It was a magical place for ten year old me. The landlord wasn't thrilled with it being a kids' hangout and wouldn't renew the lease after just one year.

Baseball cards fell out of fashion in the 90's but have made a resurgence, and since my Dad has retired it's become his hobby once again.

It was a bit emotional seeing myself on a trading card and getting to share it with my Dad. It's nothing I ever expected but it feels like an achievement.

I was blown away and impressed with how well the cards turned out. Thank you for including us in this project with 99 other wonderful shops throughout the 5 boroughs. Stop in to purchase a pack and pull one of your favorite NYC shops.

Hello everyone! Steffen and Jenny here with some bittersweet news to share.

Our magnificent shop manager, Katie, will be working her last shift on Monday as she moves on to pursue an amazing opportunity in her other field of passion: teaching & writing. We’re so sad yet so happy for her all at once.

Of all the cheese shops in all of New York City, Katie walked into ours back in 2019 right after we’d opened and inquired about a job. How lucky we have been. She started as a graduate student working behind the counter part-time and eventually took the reins as our intrepid shop manager and the voice behind our social media for the past several years.

If you’ve met Katie, you know that she is incredibly genuine, sincere, thoughtful, and fun. She helped us find our footing as a young shop weathering the turbulence of the pandemic and economic shifts of recent years. She brought her remarkable way with words to our social media and shop signage, and her adventurous spirit led to cheese writing classes for kids, our first-ever Stand Alone Mets outing, and so many other ways of connecting with you all through cheese.

Along the way we’ve become friends—Katie held both of our kids as newborns, and we had the honor of attending her beautiful wedding last spring. The most wonderful part of owning a shop is the people you meet along the way. People like Katie.

Katie’s last days behind the counter are tomorrow (Sunday, 12/28) and Monday, 12/29. Please stop in to wish her well and send her off with all the Jackson Heights love she has shown our shop and community over the past 6 years. We love you, Katie!

So many good looking—and even better tasting—cheeses for Christmas! We’re open every day till the 25th, including Monday the 22nd! If you’re reading this, don’t wait till the 24th…shop early, avoid lines, and get in the spirit with us!

1) Chabichou du Poitou: we’ve nearly always got these fluffy Loire Valley chèvres in stock, but couldn’t resist a photo of them glowing in the golden hour.
2) New cheese! Meet Reverie from in Vermont. Reverie is a stunning raw cow’s milk tomme with a bold, fruity, earthy flavor and an oh so satisfying firm texture.
3) Truffle Brie hardly needs an introduction! Only available this time of year.
4) Fourme au Moelleux is creamy, dense, bold, and fruity, injected with sweet wine. So festive!
5) Fontina Valle d’Aosta Alpeggio — next level Fontina. Made exclusively with summer milk from cows grazing in pasture on the mountains, the paste is semi-firm, creamy, rich, and aromatic.
6) Le Munster du Grand Père Fischer: not the sliceable Meunster! This washed-rind cheese brings the FUNK. If your crowd has an adventurous palate, this one’s for you.
7) Glacier Penta Crème screams decadence! Rich, spreadable, and approachable, this blue is indulgent, creamy, and perfect for dessert.
8) Bierkaas! Washed in Triple beer, Bierkaas is fruity, semi-firm, and crowd-pleasing.
