We found this blue heeler at our farm on upper pine creek rd this morning near the end of woodland dr. No collar, smells terrible and is kinda bitey. While we love dogs, it’d be great if our neighbors would keep them in their yard and away from our wildlife sanctuary.
Dm us to claim it before we drop it at the pound.

Foraging classes, Cultivation classes, on farm guest chef dinners? Sound off below and let us know what you’re interested in seeing from us in 2026 please. We’re creating our schedule for the year ahead and want to know how we can serve you better.

Our next guided foray is scheduled this Sunday from 12-4 Central time! This month’s foray is going to be a bit different. Participants will go in a local forest to learn how to identify and find wild mushrooms and plants. This month, we can expect to find Chanterelles, lobster mushrooms, black trumpets, hedgehog, and more.

We’ll then go back to the farm, where you’ll tour our outdoor mushroom cultivation yard, and learn about growing and harvesting cultivated mushrooms. We’ll then prepare and serve a meal made with the mushrooms harvested during the foray.

If you are facing food insecurity because of the SNAP benefits crisis, message us and I will get you fresh mushrooms from our farm. Maybe we settle up in the future, maybe we don’t, I’m not concerned about it. We’ve accepted your food stamps for many years as a farm and have always given a little extra to those in need and we’re not going to stop now.
Please don’t take advantage of our kindness because we are a small farm that’s struggling to make life work at present too.

Matthew 25: 35-40
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

We’ve arrived at the last outdoor Iron Mountain Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market for the year. We’re here from 8-noon or whenever we sell out today. Maitake aka Hen of the Woods, Lions Mane, Mukitake aka Olive Oysterling (tastes like chicken of the woods) and fresh Shiitake as well as French style pickled Maitake, Asian Pickled Shiitake and Tuscan Pickled Chanterelles are along with us too.
