🎢 TOMORROW MAKES MARKET HISTORY 🎢

For the first time ever, the Ione Farmers & Artisan Market will feature LIVE MUSIC.

Tomorrow, while you browse handmade goods, fresh flowers, local books, fishing lures, leatherwork, tie-dye, jams, sauces, and artisan creations, you'll be treated to a live performance from Greg Vaughn.

A Newport native and retired school teacher, Greg brings a voice that feels like coming home. His set list includes a mix of 90s country favorites, Elvis classics, sing-along hits from Hootie & the Blowfish, and folk favorites from Jim Croce and Gordon Lightfoot.

This is exactly what community markets are meant to be.

Local makers.
Local music.
Local connections.

Grab a coffee from Host Hwy 31 Grind, wander the booths, meet the vendors, and help us kick off what we hope will become a new market tradition.

πŸ”πŸ₯š Washington Egg Producers: Big Changes May Be Coming! πŸ₯šπŸ”
If you raise chickens and have ever thought about selling eggs from your farm, homestead, or backyard flock, now is a great time to start paying attention.
The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) has begun the process of updating Washington's egg regulations for the first time in decades. Proposed changes could create clearer pathways for small producers while modernizing food safety and labeling requirements.
Some of the proposed updates include:
βœ… Potential exemptions for certain producers with 3,000 hens or fewer
βœ… Updated inspection requirements
βœ… Clearer labeling standards
βœ… Small-farm-friendly Good Manufacturing Practices
βœ… Better coordination between state and federal inspections
These changes are still being developed, and WSDA is actively seeking input from farmers, homesteaders, and egg producers across Washington.
Whether you have 6 hens or 600, understanding the rules is the first step toward legally selling eggs and building a stronger local food system.
πŸ“£ Have questions, concerns, or ideas? Now is the time to get involved in the rulemaking process.
