After many months of several work and personal issues, we have made the decision to close the doors of Funaro's Deli. We are super busy and short staffed, which is the most obvious of the issues we are faced with. But there are many more details to the daily struggles of the work/home balance that have led to this decision. There is a lot that goes through my mind about how thankful I am as an owner/operator to have been able to be face to face with my customers each day, and the relationships that I have gained over the years. We were recently voted for the 3rd consecutive year, Warren County's favorite lunch spot. It is truly an honor to be viewed by the public as "The Best." Since taking ownership in 2016, I have developed an awesome menu with a top notch quality that I am proud of. We hope and pray to find the right person and be able to pass the torch and continue to serve Indianola. Until the right person comes into our lives to buy the deli, the doors will be closed. This is a very tough decision but is best for the Houston family. We are very thankful for our customers who have supported us over the years and to Jenn. She was the one usually working the register, but she can do it all and she was with us every step of this journey. Thank you Indianola, on to the next chapter...
