I believe this is the first time I have ever purchased supplemental tomato plants. I only intended to grow enough this year for myself and a few others. But then, while shopping at a Walmart neighborhood market, I noticed the lady in front of me, buying one single, ugly, basic red tomato...It was almost $4 bucks! I will also be replanting the first suckers I cut from the tomatoes I already have in the ground. They clone very easily. Folks grow extra, this might be a bumpy year for us all.

Well aged wood chippings are great for w**d block and for slow feeding your plants.

Better late than never... This year I just went with store bought peat moss and perlite for the germination mixture, and started with 72 cell trays, with only one transplant planned before going into the ground/hydro.

I did not love getting rained on this morning while loading my truck, but that rain came at the perfect time. I just did a heavy harvest on most of my plants. They should explode with new production!
