Well Homer - its been an interesting start to our Autumn here at the shop. 🙃

The bad news? Our main cheese fridge went down overnight last week and we lost quite a bit of product. It will be another week or so until its back up and running, and to be honest, another couple weeks until I can rebuild the selection Ive been able to provide our little town..

The good news? We still have cheese!

The best news? ROGUE RIVER BLUE WAS IN THE BACK FRIDGE!!!!

This WORLD CHAMPION blue cheese from the Rogue Valley in Oregon is made exclusively with the Autumn milkings and aged for 9 to 11 months before being wrapped in local Syrah leaves that have been macerated in a local pear liqueur and released on the Autumnal Equinox.

People have been asking, wishing, waiting all year for this beauty to come back to town.

It's here, come get your piece.

The Market is now offering nitrate free cold cuts & delicious deli cheeses, sliced fresh to order!! (PLUS - its all gluten free!)

Its a gentle rollout as we test the waters, so if theres something more specific youre hoping to find in the future - let us know and perhaps you'll see it in the case in the next month or two.

Making their debut at the Market this week are these absolutely gorgeous FRESH Italian Summer Black Truffles. Sold whole, these truffles are about 2 oz a piece at $48/oz.

PLUS Caviar has finally made its return for the summer!!! This delicacy needs no introduction, and I am thrilled to be able to offer our community the opportunity to enjoy this more regularly as I continue to grow.

For anyone new to caviar, or anyone who would enjoy a guided tasting, look out for news about our Introduction to Caviar class happening at the Market in a few weeks!

**FRESH WISCONSIN CHEESE CURDS**

An entire shipment from Wisconsin was overnighted to me this week, filled with all the goodies to make a Midwesterners heart melt!

Fresh Cheddar Cheese Curds & Monterey Jack Cheese Curds are here and they WONT last long, come get em while they've still got some squeak! First come, first served!

Wisconsin Brick Cheese, made by Widmers Cheese Cellars, has finally made its debut at the Market!! This funky American melting classic came about at the turn of the century when German & Swiss immigrants were settling in Wisconsin. Named after the use of heavy bricks to press the whey from the curds; Widmers still uses the same open vats and worn bricks that their grandfather started with in 1922. They are, in fact, the last in the country to still use real bricks!

Plus something extra special for all the meat smokers & sausage makers out there. (Fathers Day IS coming up!! 👀) These Hi-Temp Cheddar & Hi-Temp Jalapeño Monterey Jack are specially crafted to allow them to withstand up to 400°F, making it perfect for smoked summer sausage, delicious bratwurst, or folding into a gourmet burger!

For anyone in Homer new to the plant based lifestyle, we do our best at Alasandro's Market to always provide a small curated selection of vegan products as well as vegan charcuterie boards for your tasting pleasure, because we think everyone deserves a special treat! (&maybe some w**e).
