Since the Summer of 1997 the Hoboken's Farmers' Market has helped New Jersey farmers sell their produce directly to the residents of Hoboken. It's a weekly event that brings rural and urban New Jersey together and reminds us all why we are the Garden State. Since then, the market has expanded across Hoboken to include 3 locations per week. Our mission has always been to preserve open space and to

help Hoboken be a happy and healthy community. Our farmers plant close to 1,000 acres each year. Shopping at a Farmers’ Market is great for the local economy, your health, and your carbon footprint. Don't be shy to ask our vendors about how their produce is grown and how it's best prepared. There is nothing like sweet corn and a juicy Jersey tomato to signal the arrival of summer! This is the one we’ve been waiting for. 🙌 All three Hoboken Farmers Markets are officially in full swing!

🌿 Tuesday kicks things off with a bang. New vendors, all your returning favorites, AND food trucks joining the party. It’s a full house with the market running along 4th, Garden, and 5th Street.

🌱 Thursday welcomes two brand new local farmers bringing fresh produce, chicken, eggs, and flowers straight from the source. Plus plenty of new vendors that can’t wait to meet you!
🎶 DJ Cheddar keeps the good times going, with his set beginning at 4:30pm.

🍓 It’s NJ Strawberry Season!
MidMay - MidJune is such a sweet time of year!

Did you know that strawberries are 91% water?
They soak up and hold onto whatever they are exposed to, so many farmers stop feeding them once flowers start to emerge, as active feeding during the fruiting stage can negatively impact the size, taste, and “internal cleanliness” of your berries.

This season has been great for strawberries! New Jersey had a dry May with plenty of sunshine, so the strawberry quality is excellent, with really great yields at the farms. If you are picking them yourself at a pick-your-own this weekend, you can tell that the berries are ready when they are all the red, with no white tip.
