RAIN ☔️ DATE. seems unlikely we will miss the predicted rain this Saturday so we are postponing our Harvest Moon dinner to October 10th. And since we are going even deeper into the harvest season we dropped the price to $50 per adult because we will have plenty plenty food to cook up and share. $20 per child. BYOB. if you already bought tickets we hope you can still make it otherwise you’ll get refunded. Maybe you’ve been wondering
why our farm always seems to have such a jovial disposition on the Internet when farming is so hard. Besides the fact that we’re all highly caffeinated and no one is bankrolling us so we get to wake up every day and be the adults, without a babysitter, which still feels a little crazy and is comparable to a non-stop hallucinogenic experience with no come down ever, we also received a grant earlier this season to provide good local food to people that cannot usually afford it. The grant prepaid for tons of weekly produce from our farm thanks to the Rheinstrom Hill Community Program. Every week we work with Columbia Kitchen through this grant and drop off loads of fresh, healthy produce for them to make delicious meals and drop off throughout Columbia county. Thousands of meals weekly. Food access makes us smile. I love driving down Route 23, cutting over Route 16, and dropping off a massive amount of vegetables to their kitchen at the Churchtown firehouse at the beginning of every week. Like today, look at all these butternuts that people are about to eat. Chef Adam is going to make something special for them! I highly recommend checking out Columbia Kitchen whether you have money to donate or fresh food to donate for ingredients, or you need a little extra help with to eat well. Columbia Kitchen
