On Sunday, April 19th, your High Springs Fire Department responded to 17 calls for service, including multiple fires, a drowning, and medical emergencies.

Our ability to handle the high call volume and support the 3-man duty crew was due in large part to the following personnel who came in off-duty to serve:

Stay warm, stay safe 💙

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and southeastGeorgia.

* WHEN...From late Sunday night through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold temperatures. Young children, the elderly and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of black ice will also be possible late Sunday Night and Monday Morning

We had so much fun being part of Operation Holiday Cheer! 🎄🚔 It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and we were grateful to tag along while High Springs Police Department spread joy all over our community. Thanks for letting us be a small part of something so special!

❤️Our High Springs community has already reached 280 donation bags — that’s over $3,000 in food headed straight to local families in need.

Every bag is a reminder of how powerful a little kindness can be and how BIG a little community can be. Thank you for helping us give a little and feed a lot. 🎄✨

🛒 What’s in the bag?
Each bag includes a mix of pantry staples designed to stretch into as many meals as possible, bundled at $10–$15.

Bags are being picked up regularly by Deeper Purpose Community Church ❤️
