This month is one of my favorite offerings for our club! August 1st was National Swiss Day and we have some REALLY great cheeses from Switzerland 🇨🇭to celebrate!

Appenzeller White Label from Switzerland

Everyone has heard of Appenzeller before—it’s one of the most famous cheeses from Switzerland. But this one is unique and quite new to the United States. You see, Appenzeller comes in Silver Label (young & milder—3 mos. max), Gold Label (stronger—aged 4-6 mos.), and Black Label (very sharp & strong—aged 6 mos.-1 yr.). So what’s the White Label about?

This special version of Appenzeller is aged for a minimum of 3 months and enriched with additional thermized cream that the other labels do not receive. This lends to it a mild-to-moderate, ultra-rich-and-creamy, slightly funky mouthfeel that is the best example of this type of cheese. IT’S SO FREAKING GOOD!

Moser Buure Weichkäsli
Are based on a uniquely French cheese (Camembert), but are made in Switzerland by a Swiss master cheesemaker, Ueli Moser.

Ueli Moser came from a family of cheesemakers, and upon finishing his cheesemaking apprenticeship, he lived in France for a while, where he fell in love with French soft cheeses.
