We hate to have to announce something like this and we have been putting off the announcement for almost a month now. We will be raising our prices to $5.00 per dozen effective immediately.

When we started selling eggs, feed prices were substantially cheaper than they are now. We have sold our eggs for $3.50 per dozen ever since we started selling eggs early last year. We have never raised our prices even when the egg prices spiked earlier this year.

We have upgraded the quality of our feed to meet our customer and market demands. The cost of our feed has almost doubled since we started. Along with the cost of labeling, licensing, and cartons.

I’m only saying all of this to let everyone know the reason behind the price increase. In order to continue operating at a high level of quality we must raise our prices.

What have we been up to the last 30 days?

- We now sell are eggs on Market Basket (see link below).

- We now sell our eggs at Yoder's Farm Market.

-We have processed and sold over 250 dozen eggs in the last 3-4 weeks

- We we passed our local Licking County Health Department inspection for the state license.

- We got our state inspection and license to sell in the state.

-We opened up our business account

- We finalized all of our LLC paperwork finished, and finished our Veteran owned Business (VBE) filing.

-We increased our flock size 50% 

-We switched to our custom non-GMO feed mix and added a diet consisting of non-gmo corn, oats, alfalfa, barley, flax seed, cal-carbonate, and oyster shells.

You should notice a really darker yolk and a very rich taste. They are also very high in Omega 3 nutrients!

-I think that’s it! It’s going to be hard to top this next month.

Oh yes, one more thing? Does anyone know where I can buy some more baby chickens on the cheap?
