Eat grown, not flown 🌱

Did you know Hawaiʻi imports an estimated 85–90% of its food?

Think about that for a second. We live on islands with rich agricultural roots, hardworking mahiʻai, and the ability to grow so much of what we eat, yet most of our food travels thousands of miles to get here.

We know that choosing local isn’t always the easiest or most affordable option. But it matters.

Every dollar spent on locally grown food helps support our farmers, ranchers, and food producers, keeps money in our communities, and strengthens our island’s food system.

And the more we support local agriculture, the less dependent we become on food shipped in from elsewhere 🙌🏽
