THANK YOU for supporting small business in and around your city or town! We all appreciate you!
I've had a few people lately ask about some of this so I figured I'd put a little post out since I just made an order.
Here's some behind the scenes, in case anyone was curious about some costs related to inventory and importing. Thankfully half of the tariffs were reversed, a few weeks or so ago this same cart would have been ~500 for just the duties/fees portion. Unfortunately, a lot of people are misinformed about who exactly pays the tariffs. It is your neighbor running the ultra small import snack store, your local grocer who carries things from abroad, and even your local hardware and car parts store. On this, the shipping will most likely be more than it shows, the duties may be close or way way more... we'll see.
Buying imports from a domestic distributor doesn't usually show you a line item for total tariff paid, it's usually divided by item qty and that cost is added to each item. As you see here, shipping and duties are about 25% of the order value added back on top, which all has to be cut up and added into the sale price.
Thank you again for supporting small businesses in your area!
