We are so happy to carry Millsong Bakery sourdough loaves at the store and are excited to share there’s now a smaller lunchbox loaf option as well!

Millsong Bakery is a farm to table bakery in the Shenandoah Valley, meaning they don’t buy any flour but instead stone mill their own using organic & regenerative wheat grown in the valley. A lot of people have asked us about the difference between the loaves, so here’s the lowdown:
The “Levain Homage a Poilane” is a classic French style sourdough with a crispy & naturally sweet cornflake tasting crust, a moist & not too tangy interior. Made with sifted flour and whole wheat flour.
The lunchbox loaf is a 100% sourdough, whole wheat sandwich bread that’s easier to slice and moist inside. The mini lunchbox loaf is great for small households and individuals!
Both loaves are absolutely delicious and we get them baked fresh three times a week. The attention to quality and care for local ingredients makes them something we cannot recommend enough.

We’ve got another batch of strawberries in at the store. Strawberry season is definitely winding down, but never fear! We’ve got plenty of new fruit options: blueberries, cherries, plums, white & yellow peaches, nectarines, melons, and lots of apple varieties. We will continue to get add new choices, let us know what you’re looking for and we will do our best to find a local or naturally grown option.

Sweets lovers rejoice!!! Not only are these pastries & treats baked fresh this morning, but we’ve got lots of new flavors & sizes of baked goods in the store.
Key lime, peach, red raspberry cream, and peanut butter pies are now available and we’ve got personal sized pies! Peach and zucchini quick breads are here as well as shortcakes for adding whipped cream and fruit. YUM!

We are so excited to have some beautiful end-grain wood cutting boards here in the store! These were handmade by Noah Buckwalter using lumber from his family’s land in Christiansburg, VA. Each board is uniquely crafted and coated in mineral oil.
Come check them out along with other handmade goods & local artisan-made products next to the tea selection at the store!

We’ve got some fun, harder-to-find produce additions to the store today as well as more local options for staple vegetables. Local white & purple cauliflower, kohlrabi, ramps, rhubarb, squash, tomatoes, zucchini, asparagus, greens, radishes, turnips, and MORE are here!
