Yes, we have apples. Yes we are open today (Saturday) despite the rain. Yes you can pick apples either from the trees or from our baskets. Either way, I say it still counts!
See y’all soon.

I’m sorry to do this one more time. But we will be closing at 1:00 on Wednesday, October 21.

While you are out getting your milk, bread, and toilet paper, be sure to stop by for that other important staple to ride out a hurricane— apple c***r!
Sit and watch the rain with a mug of hot c***r. For our 3 liter bag, put it all on a pot add 3-4 cinnamon sticks, 1 whole orange just thrown in the pot skin on, about an inch cube of ginger peeled and smashed a little bit, and 5-6 whole cloves. Let it simmer for a short while and drink up!

“What do you do with that huge squash?” I know its size can be daunting. You can peel it and cube it for any recipe that calls for butternut.
But I usually wash it off. Put it in the oven on a cookie sheet to catch drips. Poke some holes in the skin and bake at 350 till its soft. (About an hour). Once it’s cooled, cut it open, scoop out the seeds, scoop out the pulp, and let your tastebuds go crazy.
Muffins, pumpkin bread, pancakes, waffles, cookies, casseroles, and soup, just to name a few. Make what you want now and freeze the rest.

Baby Bok Choi! I love these little guys. Chop them up and add to stirfries. Or slice in half, brush with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and either grill them or broil them for a great side dish. Or add them to scrambled eggs, salads, soups, fried rice. Your imagination is the limit.
