🍓 Two Years, Countless Memories, and One Little Berry Stand ❤️
Two years ago, a 5-year-old boy wanted to sell a few berries from a little roadside stand.
That’s it.
No big plans. No business goals. Just a kid excited to share the berries he picked.
What we didn’t know then was that one small berry stand would turn into something so much bigger.
First came the berries. Then the homemade jam. Before long, Bell started her cut flower garden, and it absolutely flourished. We added vegetables, eggs, and so many other things along the way. When the growing season came to an end and the kids weren’t ready to close for the year, they started creating bracelets, hair accessories, keychains, and handmade items so they could keep their little business going.
Looking through these photos, I don’t just see berries, flowers, and products.
I see growth.
I see confidence.
I see hard work.
I see two kids who learned responsibility, dedication, customer service, money management, problem-solving, and what it means to build something from the ground up.
As a mom, my heart feels incredibly heavy knowing this chapter is coming to an end at this location. Unfortunately, after someone complained to the city about our little stand, we were informed that we have to close before our move. That has been incredibly hard because this stand was never just about selling berries, flowers, jam, or handmade items. It was about teaching our children the value of hard work, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. While this chapter is ending sooner than we hoped, we are so thankful for the overwhelming support our community has shown these kids over the last two years.
This little stand has become so much more than a stand. It’s been a place where dreams grew, lessons were learned, and memories were made.
I’ve watched Bentley and Bell grow so much over these past two years. I’ve watched them work through hot days, rainy days, early mornings, and long evenings. I’ve watched them get excited over every sale, every flower that bloomed, every jar of jam they made, and every person who stopped by to support them.
Most importantly, I’ve watched this community show up for them.
To every person who bought berries, jam, flowers, vegetables, eggs, bracelets, hair accessories, or simply stopped to encourage them—thank you. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.
You weren’t just supporting a stand.
You were helping build confidence in two children with big dreams.
We are so sad to be closing this chapter, but we hope you’ll help us make this last month at the stand extra special. Stop by, enjoy the jam and flowers, support these hardworking kids, and celebrate everything they’ve accomplished. We hope you’ll see the growth in them the same way we do.
And while this location is closing sooner than we ever expected, Bentley’s Berry Bunch isn’t. We hope you’ll continue following us and visiting us at our new location. We won’t be far away, and we’re excited to keep growing, creating, and sharing this journey with all of you.
Support local.
Support small businesses.
Support kids with big dreams.
Because sometimes a little berry stand becomes something far bigger than anyone ever imagined. ❤️🍓🌻
And this mama couldn’t be more proud. 🥹❤️
